Illustrated with a monochrome frontispiece and sixty-four monochrome photographic plates by Paul Nash.
This work features a collection of photographic plates by the British artist, Paul Nash. Nash is best known for his surrealist paintings and art as a war artist in world war I and II. These photographs, taken on a Kodak No. 2, recorded his impressions of a place, with many of the photos being used as a reference for paintings.
The work was edited by Margaret Nash after his death.
In the publishers original cloth with the original clipped dust wrapper.
CONDITION
In the original publishers original cloth with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, excellent with slight fading to the spine and slight bumping to the extremities. The wrap is sound with closed tears and rubbing to the joints, slight handling marks to the rear, and chipping and small closed tears to the extremities. Tape repairs to the verso. Internally firmly bound with clean pages and minimal age toning.
