Remy Martin Age Inconnu Decanter Prior to FRANCE Location vendre Etching Extremely Rare

Remy Martin ‘AgeInconnu' Depose Decanter

This is withouta doubt the oldest Remy Martin ‘Age Inconnu' decanter we have ever handled.

After review the decanter has been dated somewhere between 1899 and 1926.

Keypoints of note:

1) Irregular hand-blownglass with Depose cast in the glass below the company etching.

2) Fleur-de-Lyshand-stamped while hot with noticeable glass slumping and misorientation.

3) REMY MARTINCOGNAC acid etched (note: before FRANCE was added to the etching)

4) vendre Cylindrical neckwith offset opening in turn of the century 1900 throat opening.

5) Stopperbroken over the years is hand-ground with (pre-Baccarat) rough termination pigtail.

6) 9 fins on oneside and 10 on the other. Very early hand-shaped irregular fins.

7) Tiny bubbles andhandling flats trapped inside the glass.

This very earlyRemy Martin decanter pre-dates any Baccarat glasswork. It jointly is an exhibitof pre and post 1900 features especially of note is the fact that REMY MARTINCOGNAC is acid etched without FRANCE.

(The only decanter we have seen with thisfeature).

It is in exceptional condition and a specialfind for any serious Remy Martin decanter collector.

Unfortunately,the original stopper was broken over the years as many were, but the original stopper is included with this decanter as further proof of the age and veracity ofthe decanter.
